What an awfull couple of days!
This evening when I sat down it was already running and would not respond to anything I did. I did a cold shut-down (held the power button in). Vista wont shut down - I Have Just the Opposite Problem
We logged on as Matthew (user) then shutdown right from his specific start menu. A subsequent restart, and chkdsk did not run during the startup. The kids have been out for a week so we haven't done much with his account. We will give it a good test this week. I'll post an update, so far so good.
